Internal Competitions

of the

Lea Short Mat Bowling Club

Hello I'm Iris Smith and I am married to Colin.

We have not been long in this area, and were quite recently introduced to the game of Short Mat Bowling through our neighbours, Margraret and Tony Cale. We  play at Mitcheldean Friendly Club, and the Lea Short Mat Bowling Club. I am pleased to introduce this page as I have enjoyed the competitions this year and was runner up in the Ladies singles.

Every year the Lea Short Mat Bowling Club holds a series of competitions for members of the club.

These consist of several disciplines covering Singles, Pairs, Triples and teams of four.

They are open to all club members.

Further to this, there are two trophies that are memorials to past club members.

The Bill Smith Cup

and the

Bill Maxfield Trophy

We extend our thanks to June Smith for her work in organising these competitions,

and to all Club members who took part ensuring the success enjoyed by all, winners and losers alike.
